AI & Design Futures: A Two-Week Creative Camp for Youth

This immersive 2-week summer program invites youth to explore the intersection of art, fashion, and emerging technology. Using accessible tools like AI and digital design, participants will engage in hands-on creative activities while developing essential critical thinking, visual storytelling, and collaborative skills.
Ages: 10 to 18
No prior experience needed, just curiosity and creativity
Ideal for students interested in art, design, technology, or future careers in innovation
Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion
Participants must bring their own laptop or tablet (see details below)
Note: The MIAMI Shoe Museum cannot provide devices under any circumstances. Participants must be able to manage their device independently each day.
Meals & Snacks
So that you know, no lunch or snacks will be provided. Participants must bring their own nut-free meals and a water bottle each day. We recommend packing light, healthy options that don’t require refrigeration.
Dates, Time, and Location
Duration: 2 weeks (Monday to Friday, 10 days total)
Dates: Week 1, June 7 - 11, Week 2, June 14-18
Daily Schedule: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (with breaks)
Delivery Mode: In-person
Cohort Size: Maximum 10 participants to ensure personalized mentorship.

Do participants need prior design experience?
No prior experience needed, just curiosity and creativity
What kind of device is required?
Laptop or tablet with Wi-Fi access
Web browser (Chrome preferred)
Capable of accessing tools like Google Drive, Canva, and browser-based AI platforms
A keyboard is strongly recommended for design and writing tasks
Can my child attend just one week?
The AI & Design Futures program is offered in two one-week sessions. Participants may attend either or both weeks; however, we strongly recommend attending both weeks to benefit fully from the program’s design. Week 1 introduces core concepts, tools, and collaborative teams, while Week 2 builds upon that foundation through deeper creative development and final presentations.
What’s the cancellation/refund policy?
We understand that summer plans can change. To ensure fairness and help us plan accordingly, please review our cancellation policy:
Cancellations made more than 14 days before the start of the program will receive a full refund, minus a $25 processing fee.
Cancellations made within 7–14 days of the start date are eligible for a 50% refund.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 7 days before or after the program has started.
No partial refunds for missed days.
